We are constantly trying to develop new recipes using some of our delicious products. Here are a few ideas that we hope will whet your appetite. And if any of you find some other interesting uses for our products in your recipes, please pass them along! We’ll be happy to add them to our list for everyone to enjoy.


 


Mason’s Blue Ribbon Apple/Cranberry Granola Crumble
- 4 Granny Smith Apples, peeled and cored
- ½ cup dried cranberries
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tbsp flour
- 2 tbsp butter

• Cut peeled apples into thin slices
• Toss apple slices, cranberries, sugar, cinnamon and flour in a large mixing bowl to coat the apple slices
• Layer apple slice mixture in an 8" x 8" baking pan. Press down lightly, dot with butter

Crumble Topping:
- ½ cup light brown sugar
- ½ cup flour
- ¾ cup Mason’s Kitchen Cranberry Granola
- ½ cup cold butter
• Mix brown sugar, flour and Mason’s Kitchen Granola in a medium mixing bowl. Add the cold butter, cut up into ½" cubes, and mix with a fork or hand until mixture can be formed into clumps
• Sprinkle topping on top of apples layered in the baking pan
• Bake at 350 degrees for 25/30 minutes or until apples are tender
• Cool to room temperature before serving

Delicious served with vanilla ice cream!




Mason’s Chocoholic Brownies with Granola

- 1 Box Fudge Brownie Mix
- 2 Cups Mason’s Kitchen Bucks County Golden Raisin Granola
• Preheat oven according to directions on Brownie Mix
• Make Brownie batter also as directed on box
• Add 1 ½ cups granola to wet mix
• Pour granola batter into pan and bake as directed

About 10 minutes before Brownies are done, sprinkle remaining ½ cup granola on top.
Cool thoroughly. Cut into squares and enjoy.

 



Crunchy Granola Waldorf Salad

- 1 cup diced apples
- 1 cup diced celery
- ½ cup Mason’s Kitchen Bucks County Granola
- ¾ cup plain yogurt
• Mix all ingredients thoroughly
• Spoon ¾ cup serving on a small plate of mesclun greens
• Top each portion with 1 tbsp granola just prior to serving

Serves 4.
